Built for the Well. Not Based on a Guess.

Whether you need a pump system for a newly drilled well or service on an existing system, we begin with the well information, the system conditions, and what the water is doing. Then we recommend the appropriate next step for that specific well and property.

Well Pump Work Requires the Right Credentials.

Pump work inside a water well is specialized work. Georgia regulates water-well contractors and pump contractors through the Water Well Standards Advisory Council, with the Environmental Protection Division serving as the Council’s agent. The state’s rules specifically cover the installation, removal, repair, and service of water-well pumps and pumping equipment.

Groundwater Pros has three Georgia-licensed well drilling contractors. That experience matters when the issue involves the well, pump, controls, pressure system, and the conditions affecting how water reaches the home—not just the plumbing fixtures and supply lines inside the house.

Before someone removes or replaces your well pump, ask what Georgia license or pump-contractor certification covers the work.

What Happens When You Call

01

Tell Us What’s Going On

Tell us if you’re experiencing low or fluctuating water pressure, air in the lines, a pump that keeps turning on and off, or a well that needs a new pump system installed. We’ll ask a few questions about the well, your water supply, and any equipment already in place.

02

We’ll Talk Through the Issue

Based on the symptoms you describe, we’ll help you understand what may be happening and what you should do next. We can offer practical guidance over the phone, help you prepare for a service visit, or schedule a time for us to come evaluate the system.

03

We Assess the System On-Site

During the service visit, we’ll evaluate the well and pump system to identify the cause of the problem and determine whether anything needs to be repaired or replaced. Before proceeding with recommended work, we’ll explain what we found and provide an estimated cost.

No Water? Please Let Us Know When You Call.

No-water calls are taken seriously and prioritized whenever possible, so please tell us right away if your home is completely without water.

Pump Systems for New Wells

A newly drilled well needs a pump system matched to the well, property, and household water needs. We consider well depth, water level, elevation, distance to the home, pressure requirements, and expected water use before selecting and installing the system.

Pump Service for Existing Wells

Low or changing water pressure, air in the lines, short cycling, and loss of water can have several possible causes. We diagnose the pump and related system components before recommending repair or replacement. We’ll explain what we find, what needs to be done, and the cost before work moves forward.

Common Pump Questions

Common signs include weak or dropping water pressure, a pump that cycles on and off more than it used to, unusual noise, or water that stops altogether. Any of these are worth having looked at.

Low pressure can come from the pump, the pressure tank or switch, the electrical side, or the well itself. It usually takes a look at the system to know which one.

Pumps can fail from normal wear over time, electrical issues, or conditions in the well itself. Age alone isn’t the only factor — how the pump has been used and the water it’s been running in both play a part.

It can, but it isn’t the only explanation. A failing pressure tank, a worn pump, or an electrical problem can create similar symptoms. It’s worth having the system checked before assuming the well itself is the issue.

Yes. Once a well is drilled, Groundwater Pros installs the pump system that gets water from the well into the house.

Yes. We replace pumps that have failed or reached the end of their service life, including on wells we didn’t originally drill.

Pump life varies quite a bit based on the pump itself, water conditions, how the system is used, and how it was installed. If performance has changed, it’s worth having the system looked at rather than going by age alone.

A sudden, total loss of water usually points to the pump, the electrical supply, or a pressure-system component, though it can occasionally be the well itself. Call and tell us what happened right before the water stopped — that helps narrow things down before we ever get to the property.

Not Sure if It’s the Pump or the Well?

Give Groundwater Pros a call and tell us what the water is doing. We’ll help you figure out the next step.
